I don't know exactly how the numbers work, but a 95 has an index of 1521lbs, and a 97 is 1609lbs. If this is per corner, a 95w would work fine. If it's per axle...even the 97 oem number wont cut it.
Again, I'm just shooting from the hip. Don't know much about load ratings and what the numbers really mean.

Got it. I guess tire shops wont sell any less than OEM numbers.

I tell Discount Tire it's for my hand-built race car to avoid this. I haven't had a problem getting them to sell or mount the tires.

I usually dismount the wheels and take them in the X5, it's easier and that way they don't torque the wheels down to 250lbft |

I ordered last Sunday and they were at my door Tuesday by Noon! Day-um!
Then the tires were 'stolen' 10 minutes later by TLP. Of course, I stole his set that I've been abusing here at Laguna Seca.

Some of y'all go to DTs with weird policies. Never have I had an issue purchasing or getting a quote on non-OE sized tires.

Does anyone know how the 275/35/18 NT01 compares to height and width of an RS3 or PSS? I compared them without air next to my PSS and they look quite a bit wider. Hoping I don't run into strut clearance issues

Usually you can look up specific tire specs on manufacturer websites (and probably tirerack) for specific-sized tires.
275/35/18 NT01s are: Inflated width: 10.91" Inflated diameter: 25.55" Last edited by ayao; 08-28-2016 at 05:26 PM.. |

275/35ZR18 371010 6.3 25.55 10.91 The numbers you posted look to be for a 275/40/18. Just didn't want to confuse anyone. But as much as I'd like this to be accurate tire rack shows the same for the Hankook RS-3's, and they are WAY narrower than my PSS, which are narrower than the NT01's lol. So i guess i'll just see if they fit tomorrow!

Nothing to add here on a sale, but I ran NT-01s for the first time in a very long time at Laguna for O'Fest.
Damn I had forgotten how much fun these tires are. I drove flat out.
