AutoX with Nitto Nt-01
I plan to attend several AutoX events over the next few weeks and have no experience running Nt-01s (or another r-comp) for such an event. I am running 275/35 R18 square. I am hoping someone with experience can provide advice on pressure, etc.
Thanks in advance. |

Do you have autox experience? How do you normally dial in pressure?

I suggest starting them cold around 36 psi with a goal of 38 psi hot.
You won't get a lot of heat up on most autocross tracks. If you can get a little heat into them, they will be stickier. You can spin the rears briefly before a run to warm them. For the fronts I usually just take the first run easy ( better to learn the layout too) and that usually is enough unless the time between runs is long. Once you try 38 psi, you can also drop the pressure to ~ 35 psi hot and see what that feels to you. Recent data I've heard is that can also work well on NT-01's... Haven't tried that myself.

You'll love NT01's for autocross, been running them for the past couple years. Our autox courses are pretty wide open & fast, usually a mile long & second & third gear only. I've found 38/39 to be a great hot temp. I usually start them at 33/34 psi & let out air as necessary. Have fun!!
