bbs lm-r - curb rash - opinions needed :(

the smaller one I have no idea how i got, the large one I was in a rush and the curb poked out in a strange way, I was trying to pull up parallel to it but failed miserably, as evidenced here - anyway, some guys from Dr.Wheel are hopefully going to come by tomorrow, theyve done minor repair work for me before but nothing like this, is this damage really bad? Should I order a new lip? I hope it doesnt have to come to that but if they cant fix it I may just end up downgrading to some CH's....thx guys - if anybody has a mobile rim/repair company they know and like in the LA area please let me know...

Here is something I wrote up a while back.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161464

The severity of your rash is very similar to what mine was. The difference is that your wheels look painted and mine were only clear coated. That was an advantage for me as the polishing matched the original finish for me. If you also came up with a small scale painting and clear coating process to add to my effort you would have a winner.

Hope it at least helps a bit. There is hope!

That shouldn't be a big deal at all to repair, any competent wheel repair place should be able to take care of you.

I just called up these guys and set an appt for a wheel repair on my OEM 19" ///M3 wheel. Like another member experienced, this happened during a rushed parking attempt with an odd shaped curve. My appointment is set for Monday at 9am. I'll post before and after pictures.

that sucks, but it looks 100% fixable. the thing is even if you fix it it's just going to happen all over again. the roads here in LA suck so bad. this is why i'm going with VMR wheels instead of HRE, I'll be too paranoid about curbs and potholes if I spend HRE or BBS money.

So just to be clear, Dr. Wheel comes to you and they do the repair with the wheel still on the car? How much do they charge? I need to get a couple of nicks fixed.
