MZ4 wreck with S54 that has complete Beisan VANOS upgrades
<FS>2006 MZ4, totaled and I'm settling with the insurance next week. The final version and most potent US S54 BMW made.
Engine just had valve adjustment, plugs, and full Vanos job with filter, Rogue modified high pressure oil hose, Beisan seals and exhaust disc, new bolts, etc etc. That alone was $2000 in parts and labor. Have all receipts to document the Vanos work.
Passed California smog, emissions were a near flatliner, squeeky clean.
If you're converting an S54 into other models, the E85 M cars have a different DME system than the E46 cars got, with (allegedly) hotter mappings from the factory, no Dinan or Bavauto or Turner remaps are needed or available for this one. Enough performance difference that California requires the MZ4 to keep the section 1 cats on, despite allowing it to be removed on the E46 M3, and the MZ3 doesn't come with a section 1 cat at all.
Car also has:
$2k custom exhaust (X Pipe, Flowmaster Series 50, Flowmaster resonators, all 2.5" pipe) by Burlingame Muffler that should be transferrable or adaptable into a Z3, 318ti, or E30, see their website for the kind of custom work and types of cars that people bring to him.
Full wheel stud conversion on the hubs.
White stripe original stock springs, which are firmer than the brown stripe factory springs that many MZ4 came with originally.
Nearly new upper strut mounts, bushings, etc.
Nearly new brake rotors too, same brakes as M3CSL. The MZ4's shifter is also probably just what you need for E30 conversions. 99k on it.
Beautiful eggshell white, BMW calls it light bronze, leather seats and door panel inlays, and all the usual MZ4 mechanical goodies that E46 guys and gals lust after.
Wheels are 2x DForce LTW 18x9.5, 2x stock MZ4 front 18x8. The wheels picked up rash in the crash, probably still usable, but no guarantees on them.
99k on car, 3k miles or less on all mods and suspension.

The body panels from the windshield pillars and on back is perfect. Hood, nose, and front fenders are _Not usable.

Also perfect if your Z4 was rear ended badly and need a donor car for all the rear body panels.
Color is Interlagos Blue.

Complete non-repairable car, asking $5500. Will not part out, and requests for individual parts will receive replies.
If no buyers by April 1, then car goes to the insurance junkyard so you must make a purchase arrangement with me on it before then, which must include a Paypal or cash deposit so.

Located in SF Bay Area, zip code 94040.

Email to jkkerouac@gmail.com or call (323) 487-2002 with your contact info to make arrangements.
