My Rod Bearings at 65k

Probably should have one whole thread for people to share their rod bearings, but until then here are mine at 65k. I bought the car at the 54k miles and it has been religiously warmed up until i start having fun and i change the oil at every 5k. Not sure about how the previous owner has taken care of the car just that he took the car in for proper maintenance intervals.

I had Performance Technic replaced them with VAC bearings and ARP's. Planning to keep the car for long as possible, so i did this as preventive maintenance.

Its curious to see so much wear on that one lower as compared to the others. And is the second bearing at top left pitted or just dirty? Overall they look like shit. Good job. Have you noticed any difference with the VAC's?

PTech said they can't find any consistency so who knows why. Its just dirt on that bearing and i can't tell any difference. We shall see when i plan to do it in another 60k!

What's strange is that one of your uppers looks perfectly fine while the rest are pretty worn. That's what they should all look like!

Haha, that money could of gone into a bbk which i've been wanting for the longest time. #workingstudent... <-- the reason why i wasn't going to chance it if it goes and rely on bmw to replace it. I also would want to have the car with matching numbers just for the heck of it.
