Anyone have ST XTA coilovers?

Again, just looking for feedback on the ST XTA coilovers. They are apparently KW V2s in a different housing. Has anyone tried these out? Seems like a good bargain at $1699 plus $250 pack from ECS if it really is like the KW V2.

Actually they are better then kw v2. they are kw v2 body+front linear clubsport springs and rear progressive+camberplates. i will buy them for my 1M. they are no made from stainless steel but they dont have a problem with corrosion.

Thanks for the response. For the price they are going to be hard to beat especially being made by KW, but I'm a little iffy since I can't find any reviews of them on any M car. I ride quality should be better than the Clubsport as well right? Wonder what the spring rates are.

I doubt they'll be "better" than the Clubsports for those who really drive their car hard.

If for the normal daily driver, is it better "value" than the Clubsports, then probably, yes.

The valving and what-not is surely inferior to Clubsports, but, for people who drive on the street, with maybe the very very odd track-day, but just like to go on a nice fast cruise once in a while, then I'm sure it's more than sufficient.

I had XTAs on my mustang and was extremely pleased with them. Would purchase again without a doubt.

Are these for your M? I was looking on ST's website under their product search and they only list wheel spacers when I use 2009 M3 as search criteria.

Yes, they are up on ECS' website. How was the ride with them?

My buddy just installed them on his E36 M3 and ran a 1:30 at streets of willows this last weekend. He was on Falken Azenis and that's it. Car was otherwise stock. Ride was super smooth to and from track back home, food shocks for the money

The ride was very pleasant for daily driving, especially since you can dial the XTAs in a bit with their adjustability front front/rear firmness (assuming it's the same on the set for the M as my mustang). I also ran BC Racing coilovers on my mustang and the ST XTAs were so much more pleasant to drive on.

If it was me, I would look for something with EDC compatibility for my car, but if you don't have EDC, the STs would be a great option to upgrade from factory shocks/struts.

I just got a set of these from ECS for 1444.99. I got 100 back as well in gift card. They didn't adjust the non edc price but will if you email. I'll give feedback after install.

Ended up canceling the order. They pushed out shipping for a month and a half.

Yeah, they were said to ship before the end of the week when I ordered originally and that was not the case.

yep, works well on few of our cars.

rear shocks little bit soft, when you ride and compare with kw clubsport or even with competition, but as soon as you back to it's price ... how can you compare suspensions which have cost difference in 2-3 times

Spasiba for the reply! Have you compared them to Öhlins by any chance? I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth the extra $1,000.

Don't mention it!

We don't have any ohlins on our cars .

In most cases we use kw/st coilovers, rarely bilstein.

Has anyone installed these and used them in conjunction with 18x10 APEX wheels up front? Wondering if a spacer is needed like KWs require.

I had these on my 135i and they were fine. I had no issues on the street. The car wasn't tracked. For a non-track car, I couldn't imagine spending more money as I don't think I would see any more benefit.

Were they more comfortable on the street than OEM?
