We'll have plenty of time for pictures between and end of our route.
This is a high level of the route so far. I'm open to suggestions. Also, anyone who is familiar with these roads can of course take the lead.
Don't mean to be a downer but my wife and I do a lot of kayaking in the 7 lakes area of Harriman and on a Saturday morning we'll be sharing the roads with a LOT of cyclists (pedal kind) and motorcycles doing the "Isle of Mann" thing.

I agree, there are a lot of cyclists around that area. That was the reason why I drive there very early. But, given my current route. It looks like we will get to 7 lakes after 8:30 am. I will rework my route so we drive through 7 lakes before 8am and then go to the outskirts of the Park to drive.

Any flexibility on start time? Considering driving up from Central NJ but to arrive at 7 that'd mean leaving my house at ~5am. That's pretty early, especially after a long work week. Not sure how other folks feel.

I would honestly love to start the run later than 7am, but any later than 7am and we will just be driving behind minivans or worst, cyclists. That would actually ruin the fun for everyone. I understand this is very early, but it's the only way to have roads to ourselves. Also, we will be able to get back home early with no traffic as well.

Understood on all points except getting back home - I'll be dealing with beach traffic on the parkway!

May be worth sticking around and doing some hiking, depending on the weather

I lived in Midwest for past 5 years and used to do runs in Ohio. Never had traffic issues, no matter what time we arrived. Unfortunately, it's just not true about Newyork Or even NJ nowadays.

Yeah, anyone in central jersey knows that driving south on the parkway on a summer morning/early afternoon is asking for hours of traffic.

How did it go guys?

I live in Jersey City, NJ, and would love to join the next one especially as this seems to be a great way to meet the local tristate members.
