E92 M3 Oil Pump Replacement

Hey all,

Has anyone here had to get the oil pump replaced on the car? I went to a mechanic with a sound in my car and after doing some testing with a stethoscope, he believes that the gears in the oil pump are starting to grind against each other causing an intermittent sound while driving. He sent me a pretty hefty quote which makes sense, but I wanted to see if anyone here had to get theirs replaced and how the process went.

Thanks

Yeah I got mine replaced last year. It's a pretty simple process that requires your mechanic to do all the work. Other than that, you just sit at home and relax while your car gets fixed! no biggie!
