I love driving the Corvette, but there are times when I need something different. Having the Corvette as my only car means I am always trying to find the middle ground between track use and normal street use. Towing that line is getting exhausting and sometimes means I spend money/time on stupid shit because I have no other choice. There's also an inherent risk in using the same car for both and having no backup.

I'm not saying the Corvette is going to become a trailer queen and will get stripped down for pure race use, to be clear.
Have you thought of a Mini?
The Cooper S +2015 is quite nice. I have a manual one as my daily driver in winter. A sister has a 2017 automatic. Small, light, cute, good gas mileage, good power.
Evidently it is Fail Wheel Drive.

Also, I like the Veloster N. The fact that Albert Biermann developed it makes me want to have one
My Mini Cooper was by far my favorite street car I've owned. It wasn't a daily (my company gives me worlds most boring car - a Rogue, but it's free so i can't complain) but man the Cooper is just so fun on the street and surprisingly roomy.

You can drive it 9-10/10th on the street and barely be breaking the law. Haha.

We sold it for the down payment on our house but it was 100% a car i would buy again.

I'd go with cooling over the reservoir.

The BW reservoir stopped the overflowing issue but I still went ahead and bought the full do88 kit which included the PS cooler
I think you need both

Well I'm getting a new reservoir anyways since my old one probably has pump matter embedded in it, so I may as well upgrade that too.

I also asked ACM to do this.
Not sure if this is necessary, but it sure looks cool:

So basically you have all of the solutions combined into one package. You have the cooler upgrade too, right?

PFC-83 for ST-60

BW sold the PFC 83 compound for about the same $230 price for a similar pad shape but that's not quite compatible with ST60 which is why I have a "For Sale" post on that.

I've exchanged a few e-mails with Carbotech and was told not to pair their pads with my PFC pads in the rear for to stock caliper as I would be risking locking up the rear. Just seems very odd, like the expectation is that the torque from the PFC pads in the rear is greater than the Carbotech pads in the front.
Public Service announcement: The PFC83 7793 pad will NOT fit the ST-60 caliper. I purchased these from Ximian (great seller, BTW). I have a much older Trophy kit, so I hoped these would fit, but they rub the hat - see the inner wear in photo from a 5-minute test drive. I've never had a problem with fitament for PFC 01s and 11s before - they fit the ST-60 kit just fine.

Luckily, I have enough left over XR1s for the Eagles Canyon open track day tomorrow. I'll pretty much give these away if anyone wants them.

And Ximian - let us know what you think about the Carbotechs.

Sorry about that, too bad they didn’t work. Were your other PFC pads the 7793 shape? These shouldn’t be any different.

I was able to position them so they don’t rub the hat but they would stick past the rotor.

These pads are definitely taller than other pads for the ST-60 kit, but I'll try to push them to the outside. I don't mind if they hang off of the outside of the rotor, but I don't want them rubbing against the hat.

Are you saying the annulus (pad height) was incorrect? I've seen this before with the FMSI pads -- the same caliper can have multiple different pad shapes due to slightly different rotors and hats being used.

For my OEM Brembos, the caliper and rotor are the same as the Camaro SS 1LE and Cadillac CTS-V. The caliper itself is also the same as a Nissan GT-R and some Aston Martins, but they have a different rotor annulus so it's not entirely backwards compatible. You have to do your homework.

Carbotech pad is a near perfect match which is great. I haven't installed them yet but I'll get to that soon.

Bedding instructions also attached and they look pretty involved. With PFC pads on the OEM rotors, you can just installed them and go but looks like I'll have to be pretty careful with these to avoid chunking and glazing.

Ugh, why are there no ALUMINUM long reach floor jacks? Everything I see that has the extended reach is made of steel and weighs 100+ pounds. No way am I strong enough to pick that up and put it in the trunk. Inb4 go to the gym

Guess I'll be doing a standard low-profile aluminum one and just bringing 2x4s to drive up onto.

He said annulus...heheheheh

Yes, exactly - this is a very old design. I thought that I'd give it a try since Bimmerworld has them, and Ximian gave me a great deal.

I've never had problems with any other pad shape for the ST-60 kit - and I've use a lot - Pagid, PFC, Carbotech, Cobalt Friction - no issues with fitament.

An F150 makes for a nice DD. Excellent ride for a truck, very spacious interior, and plenty of towing capacity. MPG isn't great - it's still a truck - but they have come a long way in the last few years.
Yep. Amazing for a DD. I get ~22mpg (better than the M3 lol) with my 2.7L and it can tow pretty well for a 1/2 ton.
Super comfortable and nice to drive. Lease deals are also really good. dparm PM me if you look into a Ford seriously

Its also nice for most projects around the home/property if applicable.

Is there any difference in brake parts/rear axle robustness between a 2.7 and a 3.5 Fiso? I don't ened any more power than my Tundra has, and a 2.7/10speed is roughly equivalent to the 5.7/6speed in terms of overall grunt. I had a nice experience with a new F350 recently and it turned my head, it was a really well done interior and just generally liked it a lot from a control response perspective, they've come forward a lot since the early 2010's. Unless Toyota knocks my socks off with the next Tundra in...2029? Ford is going to have to shut up and take my money

Are you using rear axle airbags? My 8500lb loaded big & tall 24', 7 tall' interior steel car hauler put the Tundra pretty close to the jounce bumpers on the rear springs without airbags, with firestone bags I can level it off and it's a very nice towing ride and still well-damped with the OEM off-road bilsteins

Really fun times at buttonwillow, this past weekend was my first time. Sub-2 by end of day 1, and did a 1:58.79 on day 2. Video posted in the lap times thread. Got feedback on my setup by a friend, dampers need to be set stiffer for all the curbs. Reacts too slow. Oops. More time to be had on visit #2.

Ran into trinity autosports GTR owner and Steve from EAS. There were two R8 race cars too.. hawt.

Skip the reservoir. Just get an overflow reservoir. I haven't seen the BW (or any other reservoir) actually solve the overflow issue. BMW Motorsports themselves used the factory reservoir with an overflow reservoir
