I don't think there is any "real sauce". This is just like Dinan back when the E36 was new. It's a bunch of marketing. There is nothing wrong with their parts except they are highly marked up.

Seeing their youtube videos it looks like they build quality cages, etc, etc, but nothing above the level you could find at many of the well respected shops in the US.
True. I do think they do a few things that isn't so popular in the US (diff lift kit, diff cooler, etc) .. when talking to Tom & one of his subsidiaries they said they had a 192pc kinematics kit (not offered to public)? I find it incredibly hard to believe what that kit would consist of, and if that number is inflated or not to some degree.

Certainly an odd (and somewhat cheesy) approach.

I wonder if they're withholding the good stuff. I was hoping for like subframes that were changed in some way, or maybe the hubs or something. All this talk about Schirmer Kinematics...is it just a bunch of adjustable arms?

Maybe they'll give out Schirmer Points depending on how much u spend, and collecting x amount of points gives you the right to wear the Team Schirmer decal on the rear fender.

i'm pretty sure i saw a video on youtube where i caught a glimpse of a schirmer e92 up on a lift and they had a blade style swaybar in the rear. thinking about it, it wouldn't be too difficult to fit.

The secret sauce (the last few tenths per sector on a given day with a given car/driver combo) is almost never hardware. I'd wager, they'll sell you the parts, but they want to be the ones to set it up, because most of their reputational advantage is IP, not hard parts.

Kinematics is just the terms for alignment angles. So basically their own alignment/geometry likely based on continuous testing and tweaking. Also known as Fast AF by their competitors lol.

As I expected, nothing special on the site. Basically 'standard' bushing and control arm upgrades, everything with a nice Schirmer tax on top of it. Some nice stuff no doubt, but mostly overpriced for what it is - not surprised though.

I LOL-ed when I saw this one:

vs the USD18 Meyle-Original bearings with lifetime warranty I got from FCP Euro. Identical down to the blue boot clips.

Are the ones from Schirmer monoballs vs rubber from oem? I really hope so, otherwise this is a really bad look

They have been deleting every single negative comment that has rightfully called them out for their bs.

Schirmer is out there to milk some unknowing fanboi and selling merchandise to YouTube fans. Feels like a project that Tom handed out to his cousin's son nephew whatever 20 year old something who convinced him he could build a website for cheap off Wix.

I replied to their newsletter, hopefully I get a reply. What a underwhelming release - it's a disappointment.

Soooo... you're not going to be putting a group buy together of Schirmer parts at this time???

I'd call up those manufacturers straight 😂👌

I'll give credit where it's due - their NACA duct undertray to fit with the GT4 lip & brake back plate is very intriguing and something I haven't seen before outside of home made solutions - along with their carbon interior kit, though they seem "universal".

The rest is overpriced OTS parts.

There's obviously no info on the Schirmer site where these bearings go. But I have another post on here talking about converting original rubber bushes to sphericals so I assume they go in one of those locations. There are 8 in total, vs the 4 bearings from Schirmer.

Edit - On 2nd thought, the 4 bearings are probably for the rear trailing arms since Schirmer replaces the wishbones and guide rods with their own arms.

so it looks like they do have a few proprietary parts. i like that their carbon doors retain window regulators and oem fittings for handles and mirrors. then there is talk about safety... i've seen the inside of their e46 doors on instagram and they had carbon crash bars. i'm not sure if thats ideal or not, but they look like exact oem replicas.

the carbon footwell covers are nice, but they look the same as whats sold by a website called europebmwshop at an inflated price.

the brake ducting looks cool and the naca is cool and all. rest of it looks generic.

There's some interesting looking eccentric bushes in their Small Kit. But they use the same image for all the different cars, so I'm not sure if the E9x also uses those eccentric bushes or not.

I knew this was going to be a pile of overpriced bullshit when I saw their photoshoot teaser of a 16 year old with a giant LV bag.

Their secret sauce is in setup and drivers. It's possible they've changed some pickup points on their rear subframes and added knuckles for better geometry like we've seen offered here recently.

I agree, the carbon interior door panels and rear shelf are pretty sweet. Wish they at least offered them in a matte finish. Don't see myself spending a dime there, though. It's all marketing hype, and much of it always has been.

Where does that piece actually fit? I can't figure it out.
