Glad to see you turned out fine, don't feel like reading everyone's post but you SHOULD charge her with battery, this isn't some b/s bar fight. She should get hit with every charge possible. I could of been my mom/dad driving home that night and get killed from someone else DUI (though they don't live in LA but you get my point).

Man, I thought this thread was a year old or so; 9 freaking pages in 2 days? Anyway, I wouldn't have hit her either, but kicking my car would have been the end of me being nice, and would have definitely pressed charges. One thing is making a mistake, but that behavior can only come out of a b*tch

. And since that wasn't her first DUI, she's an a-hole, a danger to society, and needs to be put in the slammer to see if she changes her ways. She deserved no mercy IMO, but to each his own.

Sorry about your ride. While I agree that you can always fix a car, you have to look at the totality of the circumstances. Drunk, hit and run accident, psycho attacking your person, clearly goes way beyond a normal accident or dui. Double the limit is significant, and personally, I would go all in on her stupid felonious ass. In my experience, that is the ONLY way they will change their behavior, and you can always agree to let her plead it down in court.

she did get arrested for DUI, hit and run, fleeing the scene, etcetc, and those will impact her ability to drive, albeit not forever...

it's his decision, considering it's his car, so let the man be... if he decides to cut her a break so be it, and if he decides to make her suffer the consequences, let him be the one to make the choice...

I can pretty much guarantee you though, every time her phone rings or someone rings he doorbell, she's going to freak out assuming it's an attorney calling...

you are right. Again, look at that guy that killed Angels' pitcher; previous DUI and still was driving. Even though the court suspend her license, it won't stop her from driving. Reality is that many drivers on the road have a suspended license. Those that commit an offense chances are that they will repeat it. Sad!

yup... even after her license is suspended she'll just get a SR-22 form which permits her to drive to and from work/school... everyone just drives whenever they want and in the off-chance they get pulled over for a traffic infraction, they just tell the police that they are coming from or going to work, and the police don't verify the info... so really, what's the point?

Yeah agreed that the bizzle is screwed with all the stuff she will have to comply with now cause of the DUI. Not only that but since there was a collision involved that's just going to up the annie with the prosecution... So she will get what she deserves.
