You are my hero. I want to be your friend bro. I had a fucking guy break a beer bottle on my head trying to hit someone else. I broke the beer bottle I had in my hand because I wanted to fucking kill him. I was hanging out with a couple of guys from my unit at the time and they stop me. I pressed charges and the guy was wasted. His parent and him beg me and I remove the charges a couple of months later.

I think we all fuck up sometimes so Lets hope she learn her lesson.

At first I thought maybe letting her off was a good thing to do and showed you're a decent guy...but you know you should use the law in it's full force incase she does this again to someone else. She might kill someone. I'm not saying go over the top on damages, but make sure you are not at any loss when it comes to the car and charge her for the assault too.

Second, you ought to press charges. Been a while now, but I used to be an insurance agent. I had a 24 year old female with 3 DUIs. You would think these people will learn; but uhuh, no they don't. Look at that guy that killed the Angels pitcher; 1 prior conviction of DUI, and still he had 9 beers, and couple of shots of something else.

holy chit!!! She had to be wasted to be doing what she did. Atleast you didnt have a passenger or nobody was outside the car, that would have been really ugly. Atleast you caught her and everything will be turning out in your favor. You should definitely drop the hammer in though. I would feel no sympathy for anyone that can't control their alcohol consumption. Best of luck to you though

Honestly, why people continue to drink and drive is beyond me. One simple miscalculation while driving (which happens a fair bit) could not only damage their own assets or someone elses (OP's situation) but it could also kill someone. Imagine if she actually did reverse into you yourself Alex, would you still be as calm? Her intentions of harming you never changed one bit.

On the other hand, I commend you for playing it smart during the whole ordeal. The fact that you've experienced similar behaviour/aggression with your long time friend tells me you had some sympathy for this girl too. I really hope she learns from the encounter and starts to make some serious changes (What kind of message would she be sending the homeless kids she works with if she ends up in jail - i know it sounds harsh but its the truth). People make mistakes, but only fools repeat them. Oh wait..
