The Macht Schnell will give your Akra more bark if you find full Akra to be a little tame. Skip to :18 sec and enjoy the IMSA sound!

Putting a cage in an E90 seems like such a waste. Why not get a coupe with carbon roof if that's the plan? Not really trying to hate here, everyone's free to do as they wish, but you no doubt paid extra for a slicktop sedan with cloth seats only to render that rare combination meaningless. Just doesn't make sense to me, though I guess the 4 door utility is there for you in the future if you decide you want it. Looks good in red with the TEs though.

Spencer has a business and a financial incentive to create new content for his YouTube channel, so what may not make sense to you and I makes 100% financial sense for him.

Also keep in mind that this particular E90 M3 was not that unique of a combination. Five owner car, DCT, Double hump take it out of the "rare" category all together, with only the relatively low miles at 51k being the lone unique aspect.

It was also revealed in a recent video that some sort of tune has been applied and the timing had been advanced over twice what was normal, so if he had driven it on the track, the engine would have gone ka-boom

I concur with you on many points (insane cage, completely over the top wing, removing cloth seats for racing seats ... ) but there is a method to his madness and it's new content which translates to dollars.

If you're single and have no kids. An E90 is kinda pointless too…

The guy likes the look of a sedan and wants to track it. Hence the cage.

I've heard an argument that E90's are better for track duty because of the extra structural rigidity provided by the sedan-body's B pillar.

Probably not OP's original intent behind getting the E90, but its an added bonus on top of personal preference

Keep up the great content
Thanks so much! I really am enjoying this setup. The tune is AMAZING... paired with the Akra, it feels like a new car. It's a beast. Thanks!

How is the Alpine tune compared to the evolve you had on the E92? I noticed they said you never had a tune before but you had a video with evolve test pipes and tune.

Feel any power differences or one runs smoother than the other?

Thank you! I would definitely like to give it a shot or something cat-less... only thing is is that I don't want the bad smell. May go E85 though! Thanks for the clip.

I don't like how the E92's feel compared to the E90. The E90 being an inch wider in the rear, plus the different rear end style is what I love. It has a lot of nostalgia to me and I prefer the 4-door. But good thing is is that it doesn't have to make sense to you in any kind of way since it's my build! Thanks, TE's are cool but I will be going E88's soon in gold.

Thankfully this car isn't a YouTube car, haha. Unlike my last two builds, this one is for me. Paid for almost everything so far and it feels nice. I appreciate the kind words though and explaining all of that! I definitely still do make content with the car, but not the main focus like it used to be. I can finally feel a bit more open and free, haha.

So you have to be single and have no kids to own a E90? Who made that rule? lol... I enjoy doing things for many reasons from looks to purpose.

E90 just looks cool, hence why I buy so many of them. They make me smile. Stuff that makes me smile will always be worth every penny.

I totally forgot I had that tune. I never had a custom tune I guess I should have said that was catered to my cars setup?

Evolve test pipes were amazing. It opened up the car so much. This Alpine tune though feels better because it's made for the setup of the car (Cold start delete, Akra 2-Bung GT4 setup with Evo X-Pipe, 91 octane in California, all those things). So it feels PERFECT.

The transmission tune is nuts. I'm blown away at how fast it shifts. The EuroMDM feels great too. Very rowdy and fun. I will clarify in my upcoming video about my tunes I've had before. Thanks for bringing that up!

100% agree, you do you

Didn't know the E90 was wider in the rear

Of course, happy to help. From my experience, retaining the secondary cats is probably best if you want to reduce the stench, assuming you're still running 91 octane.

Big advocate of buying what you like, glad you found "the one" as they say.

I am on your side here. My comments about being single and/or not having kids making an E90 pointless was sarcastic.

It's easier to get stuff in the back with 4 doors, it just has more utility, more structural rigidity, and also looks better, but no carbon roof.
