Sure thing.. but by all accounts and though various abuse so far the engine is solid. Oil reporting, filter inspection and etc is done every 5k miles and all is steady.

Nice!! I love those rear spring perches. It makes adjusting the rear height so easy.

Are you missing the front inserts for the M spindle?

Apparently, the MCS are set for non-M E9x and there are inserts to make them work with M spindles.

Just making sure so you don't get stuck! That would be a very disappointing day.

Nice man!

I ended up on 13R/5C, 11R/4C for the street on my 400/700 spring rates. I'm sure you will find something drastically different from my settings.

New endeavor. Got a spare 4.0 S65 with a spun bearing.

Will be disassembled, evaluated and built up. Good things to come in the next few months. My adult lego project. Something along the lines of a 4.4 with some mid level cams and higher RPM limit + syvecs.

Goal is an indestructible high output S65 for daily and track use, without a motorsport 60 hour run time rebuild cycle. Trying to hit 450s HP at the wheels.

Are you planning to go with anything from Carbahn stroker kits?

This will be my own build given where I work and our engine building capability with the team and resources here. Itll help budget wise too!

I want the personal experience, documentation and exploration!

Step one is full disassembly and evaluation. I got a bunch of bins and containers to go full OCD with organization and cleaning.

Oh yea, I totally forgot you are a shop I dig it! Looking forward to your documentation here I appreciate your car goals. I myself want something that feels like a GT3 touring in our E90s.

Your experience at the shop should definitely give you an amazing baseline to compare it to!

I think I'm very close to emulating the GT3 suspension bounce on the street with my MCS. What did you end up setting your MCS settings to? I'm curious.

I did a bunch of adjusting but havent logged it. Ill check tonight and record current setting. As stiff as RS right now but lacking in rebound. Need to dial back comp and add rebound.

Fantastic build, and only getting better!

Which FCABs were making noise that you replaced?

Any feedback on those, the subframe work, etc?

The old unit was a tuner setup. I think they could work but it largely depends on a nice press fit. The arms may differ quite a bit.

The new Bimmerworld units are great, the rear subframe is solid mounted and its very noticeable compared to before.

I keep working on more bushings to convert to monoball and it all stacks up for a more direct feel and better feedback and consistency.
