GTHaus BMW M3 Widebody unveiled
Want to make your road legal M3 look as if it came straight from a Le Mans race and instantly quash any street racer's desire to race you? German tuner GTHaus' new M3 widebody kit may achieve exactly that. The GTHaus M3 features a fully carbon fiber widebody kit with massive fenders, front bumper with splitters, sideskirts with winglets, and huge rear wing, , as well as 20" wheels (11x20"/13x20"), and Brembo BBK. The bodykit is priced at around $12,500.
No performance specs have yet been released, except that a supercharger kit will power this extra wide M3.

Is that price correct? If so, that's half the $25k price for the Vorsteiner wide body kit. The Vorsteiner kit is CF. Is the GTHaus kit CF? If not, that may account for the price difference.
Those wide fenders and quarters would have to take a beating from rocks and other road debris!

Better than the Vorsteiner one and far better priced..... However I'd think you looked like a complete jackass if you drove a car like this down the street. It's for show only.
And for those who don't know, anytime you increase the downforce you increase the drag, so you can say goodbye to gas milage and power.... Increased downforce is only good for high speeds and high speed turns... like those found on a racetrack. There's zero reason to increase the downforce of this car if you just drive it on the street.

That accounts for a large portion of the cost. 19" or 20" Forged wheels with Michelin PS2 tires according to the link below... http://www.vorsteiner.com/GTRS3/GTRS3-Price-list.pdf

GThaus is some Asian (China, Korea,etc...) knock off company that sells Meisterschaft exhausts. That's because it IS a made in China knock off bodykit.

Here's a link to the real deal...
http://eurotuner.automotive.com/1008...photos0-0.html Gotta admit, it's pretty hard to copy such dramatic lines...but that is precisely why I wouldn't have attempted to do so. I like the Vorsteiner kit because it is unique, and it started as their own vision. Even if it's not your cup of tea, it's well thought out and I think they captured perfectly what that particular demographic would be looking for. I believe that's exactly why they made the wheels and tires a specific part of the package, in order to ensure that the wheel sizes and offsets are properly matched to the width and stance of the car.

i like it more than the vors kits. pretty close to the gt2 imo.
not sure if I would spend 12+ k for something that add no function to a street car, but if you paint it all black it would look menacing on the street. |

Looks pretty silly. It is a poor attempt to replicate the look of the real deal. The car needs to be ~6" lower and the fender wells moved up. The front fender arch should be the same height as the hood of the car. And the rear need to be moved up almost to the rear quarter window edge. This wide body looks exactly like what it is; a cheap add-on body kit. Except with the price tag of something more.
