Ordered a new MPE exhaust, I think I received V1??
I ordered a brand new MPE exhaust from BMW of Austin and I am not sure if it is a V1 or V2. It has holes on the bottom and top on the muffler itself but the part number tag doesn’t have any of the numbers crossed out like described in the below thread. Does anyone know what the “03” after 201 indicates ? 184201 are the last six digits for the E92/E93 part number.
Is this a V1 or V2? https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1420920

That's a V2. It has holes in it which is the key difference between v1 and v2

That's a V3. The last number in the middle serial is the version. 2 184 201 - 3.
I bought the last MPE E92 in Canada last year at the time, and they were rolling out V3s also. BMW Dealerships in the UK are also selling V3s, the V1s are some new-old stock that shouldn't be sold as BMW knows that there is a material/design issue with Inconel.
