ST XTA Long Term Reviews???
Anyone been running the ST XTA coils for a while? Any issues or complaints?
Looking into coils for a weekend car that'll see some light track duty in the coming years. Not looking to break the bank and go overkill on something. So the ST seem like a good option. Mainly looking to replace my 100k EDC struts as the Swift springs only have a few thousand on them. I'd like a little more drop so I can go to a 265/35 and 295/30 setup without wheel gap. Any comments from people running the XTA would be great! |

Have had them for 15-20k miles. Only "complaint/issue" would be that every now and again I hear a click noise from my driver front wheel well over larger dips. With that said if I pulled my wheel and investigated I'm sure it would be no problem to figure out - havent had time since I noticed it awhile back. It is on my ever growing list of shit to do haha.
Note, I do not drake my car. Daily/weekend use only. |

I sold a set to a friend a few years ago for his e46 M3 and he loves them. He daily'd the car for a long time and they've held up well. I've talked to KW about these and I'm fairly impressed with them so I'm also considering a set of XTA's.
JP10 how much increase in NVH did you experience from the solid top mounts?

Increased vibration: Slightly on bad roads. Increased Noise: Eh, maybe 50% increase on a sh*t road - feels like butter and quite on smooth decent roads though. Increased Harshness: Again I'll probably just go with 50% - It is definitely more harsh, with that said I prefer the harsher ride because it has much less float than EDC - feels more grounded and solid. Wish I could give a better review, but I've had them mounted for over two years now hence it is tough to remember exactly how stock suspension with EDC felt. If you want it to float and have less cabin noise then stick with stock. I like it feeling solid and the slight increase in cabin noise has never bothered me - plus from an aesthetic stand point it looks so much better. |

I am on my third summer on them, more than 15 track days, And they still ride like new. Very good bang for buck!

about 18 months here.
IMO no point in getting coilovers without camber plates (big selling point) and being willing to run additional negative camber. No appreciable increase to tire wear but this is subject to how hard you drive. The additional camber seems to be responsible for most of the handling improvement. I had about 90k on my stock suspension, and I'm not sure that the actual shocks / struts are better than fresh EDC shocks, but the ride firmed up a bit and got a bit bouncier. Follow the suggested rebound settings (9F 7R or vice versa), maxing out rebound *will* result in worse handling. I had a scary incident of push-understeer when I cranked it one day, and almost washed out into a median at a speed that softer settings would have handled easily. I run full soft to half for daily use and 3/4 stiff for track use as they fade a bit with some heat in them. some clunking at low speeds when first installed, this cleared up eventually and there's no noise. other user is right, WAY less float than the EDC system. Quality product and a very reasonable effect on ride quality. |

My XTA+3 just showed up yesterday. I'm hoping to get them installed in the next couple weeks and get some seat time with them.
