Help with weird rear passenger squeak.

I have had a squeak appear on the rear passenger corner of my 2013 E92 M3 ZCP. Its a weird squeak, not like a normal suspension creak, but a parakeet-like chirp. I removed my rear shocks and inspected them, no wetness, and when I compress them outside of the card they rebound normally and extend to full length. I put them back on the car, and made sure everything is tight in the process. Should I be lubing the shock mounts and bump stops etc? Is that a thing? What do you guys think?

Here's a video of the sound.

I just ran into this problem with my car. Different circumstances, but this MAY help you. Mine was the rear upper shock mount washers. They were making contact with some sheet metal when the suspension deflected and causing the creaks. You can pull the trunk trim, remove the EDC dust boots, and see if that's the cause

thanks for the comment man, how did you fix it? do you have to get new washers or grind away at the sheet metal?

I ground the washers down like 1/16th inch all the way around and wrapped the edge with tape

Oh man, I've got the same noise. 34k miles on a 2013. Lowered on KW H.A.S. though. I'll check those washers and report back.

If you're still looking this was my noise, but I have no idea how it happened. Here is the thread: Is there supposed to be thread showing on the swaybar bolts? https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1762206

Found the issue for my car - there was a guide support rod missing on the rear shock assembly. Replaced and sound is gone
