Just wanted to update my old thread. 6 years later and currently at just over 55k miles still in love with this car. I threw on an M Performance exhaust a couple of years ago and really enjoy the sound.
Unfortunately my life circumstances have changed. I'm getting divorced and have sell the house in a couple of years. I probably won't be able to afford a house with a garage, so the M3 will likely have to go (I refuse to park this car outside). For now, I will enjoy it while I can. |

I would love to keep my 2010 M3 in the garage but I have too many toys occupying the garage. There are plenty of nice car covers available if you cant keep the car in the garage. Motortrend Safekeeper is a heavy duty cover that fits our cars well. I use it when it rains. It will stand up to snow and severe weather. Otherwise, I keep the M3 covered with the Covercraft 5 layer cover since the OEM cover is no longer available. The Covercraft fits perfect and withstands the sun and even light rain.
Keep the M3. Keep it covered if it needs to sit outside. I have found no drawbacks in keeping it covered with a good cover. After almost 7 years, the car still looks like it did when I first bought it. |

Sorry to hear about the divorce. Keep the car, it’s special to you and you’ll need something like that to keep you sane. Haven’t read everything but if there are kids involved, keep it. Shite, just keep it if you own it outright. Get a nice cover for it or find a buddy that may have a barn or space for it.

I’d keep the M3. You’re probably going to end up buying another anyways once your garage situation changes, and I’d rather keep the car you own then go through the headache of trying to source another one. If you’re worried about parking it outside, I’d just PPF the car to protect the paint.

I’m sorry to hear and hope things go well as you move on. I was in a dilemma with storage also. A friend let me borrow a garage space.

Keep the car. I street parked my previous car and had no issues. I am sure the divorce will get stressful and being able to push the s65 passed 8k might be the therapy you need. Keep your head up, better things are coming

Personally I rather have a car I want outside than a car I don't want outside. I have one garage space but one too many cars. It sucks having one outside but prefer having it than not. Hoping soon to have two garage spaces.

My M3 lived in the garage till I purchased it. No room with other toys. Get a ceramic coat on it and cover it. The car will look good for years to come.
