The trunk lid came on my M3 when I bought it. I have no paperwork on the purchase of it so I can't say it is genuine for sure. The car also came with an Amuse bumper cover and I have not seen those advertised as repro's so I assume that part was genuine. Lastly the fit and finish was perfect when installed on my car and I am very picky about those details. When I look at photos of genuine parts it looks the same. I am reticent to say if it is or is not as I have not had experience with a verified genuine part for comparison. Let me know if you know of any details that would authenticate it.

I would confidently say the fit and finish is authentic quality. I am selling it for less than the price of painting it (here in Los Angeles) so if you have an Alpine white e92 you you are in good shape.

Does the truck close ok? Some of these flex with closing the truck so it's hard to close the trunk on some.

You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
