The pic Dean linked is how I plan on implementing my brake ducts. Better spot for gathering cool air to the ducts as well; the naca ducts in the underbody would be a Low Pressure High Velocity zone iirc.

deansbimmer What is holding the fabricated brackets in these spots (see arrows)? Any pics of the duct brackets before install?

Is that a 2" hose, 2.5" or something else?

It's an aluminum bracket secured at the bottom with the screws you can see in the picture. It doesn't need anything securing the top to the bumper cover. I don't have any pictures, It wasn't a complicated part.

Its standard 2.5" brake ducting.

Thanks Dean!

Much appreciate you re-sending me the instructions! Had to reroute/bend those hoses (power steering I believe) and reset my inter-cooler pipe. But once I did that it slide in with minimal effort. The amount of added rigidity is noticeable. Heading to the track this weekend!

Thanks again!

It was over a year before I got around to putting this in, now halfway through. I think it probably could have been made of thinner stock for an easier install. One trick I've hit upon so far.. I used two foot-tall boxes to hold the weight of the side pieces while pushing the middle into place between the bumper cover and the lower radiator trim (or whatever that curved part is). I'll try a trick from post 80 to use longer screws to get the rear in place since the stock ones barely have any thread engagement given how thick this piece is!

None of the oem screws I had left failed, just the new ones. It was a pain to drill out the broken fasteners but I eventually used an upsized 5/32 bit (vs 9/64) and it made the tapping process a little easier, still plenty of thread engagement.

I chose not to reinstall the braided cable thingies (both sides/cables were damaged anyway) and instead just added a couple more holes and screws to secure the main plate to the bumper.

Overall I would recommend this product and purchase again. Well made, good fit and finish and good packaging when shipped. I did call them during the install for my fastener problem and the person that answered was very professional, friendly and helpful. So A+ on customer service.
Had the exact same problem and used same solution. First one that sheared was annoying, second was super annoying and then just re-drilled everything out larger.

deansbimmer Overall solid product and thanks for providing this solution to us enthusiasts!

We had a batch of screws that didn't hold up so we've changed suppliers. We're also shipping these trays with slightly larger drill bits to ease with installation of those screws.

Thanks everyone for all of the orders!

Installed my new aluminum replacement for the felt undertray from MPorium! Thanks so much Ed. Love this product and so glad to finally be done with the stupid felt ones that I end up replacing all the time.

I didnt read all the comments so apologies if it was mentioned but one thing everyone should know is that it really adds a good deal of rigidity to the bumper which helped me out a bunch as mine as gotten beat up over the 10 years its been on the car and this pushed it all back into place.

Are these different than the rest of the screws for the OEM undertray?

Yes. Those are the only three 6x25 like that in the front of the car.

Our tray comes with all necessary hardware.

Yes, the first post is kept up to date. International shipping rates will vary a little bit depending on region.

I bought one about a year or two ago, stupidly paid a body shop to install it and they completely used different hardware that makes it PITA to remove. Can you sell all the hardware only?
