TA codes only when engine off?

Hi all-
Question regarding my recently purchased 09. I’ve had the car a month and when messing around with getting my audio and drive settings sorted with the ignition on but motor not running, it’s thrown a TA code a couple of times and gone to limp mode. Each time I’ve cleared the codes and it’s run fine. No codes in normal driving. I’ve already bought new TA’s as I know at 64k miles I’m on borrowed time on the originals, but since it only happens with the engine off I wonder if there is something else I should look into. The battery is new/strong. I’ve searched and haven’t found this issue with only throwing codes with the engine off. Any advice is appreciated!
