What did you notice with 4 pipe mod vs 4 pipe mod with secondary cat delete (if you didn't do it simultaneously)?

I didnt do it simultaneously. I lived with just the 4 pipe mod for 6 months.

Definitely a deeper tone. Id say its like, 35% louder. Maybe more. No drone whatsoever. It sounds amazing.

Sounds nice. Anyone know if the cat delete has been done to the perforated (two-pipe) pipe mod?

[QUOTE=954MM;25996846]Check it out:

any downside to the 2ndry cat delete? At the minimum I'd assume issues with emissions which isn't an issue in FL seeing as that you guys aren't required to have that done.

It's freaking glorious man. I have the regular OEM mod and love it, but some more volume would be nice. Might do this over the summer.

What's the "regular" OEM mod? I'm new to this stuff.

4 pipe mod is basically a muffler delete no?

your deleting all the perforated sections within the muffler, why not just delete the muffler and save the weight

I thought the 4 pipe mod was covering all 4 middle perforated pipes with solid pipes and removing the dog hair. No? This is what the OP did.

2 pipe mod is replacing the 2 large middle pipes with straight pipes.

ACM is basically straight pipes through the exhaust which helps it drone less than straight pipes I guess. I think this is a little louder than the 4 pipe mod. I'm probably wrong.

reply was mostly meant for amraz

Nah the dog hair insulation stuff is normally kept.

you got 2 pipe where the two larger perforated pipes are replaced with solid pipes.

2.5 where a third smaller perforated pipe is I think half replaced with solid or half wrapped with material that covers the holes.

You could do other varieties I guess replacing half of the large pipes but I don't know of a name for something like that.

4 pipe replaces all 4 perforated pipes with solid in the center chambers. I understand the muffler design still reduces drone this way.

ACM method which just bypasses the criss crossing of pipes in the center muffler and comes straight out so no pipes are going through the center where the "dog hair" is. This is going to have the most drone.

Any muffler shop should be able to do it. Personally keep the secondary and remove the primary. The smell will be a lot less and the sound is louder. Will need to tune to remove the CEL.

I'm just trying to get a little bit more of a sound without compromising CEL or getting a tune, so thinking about doing this especially if it sounds even a little like yours.
