Frozen Grey & Frozen Black Available in Australia
I found out today that these two colours (Frozen Grey and Frozen Black) will be available in Australia,
What do you think of the colours. Would you want one? Do you think they will be a popular option here. They are sure to be a very expensive options, say maybe 15k extra, i like the grey, not sure on the black yet. Thanks to M3post and BMWBlog for the images. |

I think it'd pee you off after a while as the car would look REALLY dirty with a bit of day-to-day dirt. You'd have to keep it clean all the time.
Does the surface feel smooth, I wonder? Not worth an extra 15k IMHO. I saw a dunnydore the other day with this finish and apart from initial interest I didn't warm to it.

To me, there is something about a clean and shiny car...and I don't think these would ever be shiny. And I surely wouldn't pay 15K for them!

No, not a lover of any of the matt colours. I especially hate black wheels too.

$15k seems ridiculous. Get a good quality vinyl wrap for around $4k max, when it comes time to sell the car pull it off and you'll perfect paint and a colour you can actually sell.

I'v read somewhere that it is actually less than $6k for the frozen colours, oh yeh there are also a few limited ed. cars coming this year to Aus in the burnt orange colour scheme, same as the M3 GTS colour, with blacked out wheels.....

I love the frozen grey! A good friend just bought the last M5 in that colour, totally totally awesome in person. However I am told it is very high maintenence, so forget it as a daily driver!

Hi, There were several of these sold, you should be able to get the exact number if you contact BMW Australia. The rare ones, all these years later, ended up being Frozen White.

HI There,
Strange BMW AU would say that. They need to keep records as we all do. I'll see if i can find out for you. Next time one is in, i'll take some photos. Sam's car has an ESS 650 kit on it, Akra, KW's, Brembo's. He has about 30,000kms on it now. Mint condition too. We had it on display at Cars and coffee a while ago. Here it is here https://www.instagram.com/p/BRy6m--g...-by=southernbm |
