My Brother from NYC...

Bimmer Plug 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels are fake from China.

Here is the lengthy discussion in the BMW G8X M3/M4 Forum.

https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1927610

Order from IND, BMW Parts Pros, or Paddleshifterz in Germany. Expect a 1-2 week wait.

https://www.bmwpartspros.com/ Search the first few digits in the PNs. "51148087"
The remaining PNs are consecutive from 188-196, plus a 545 thrown in.

https://ind-distribution.com/search?...uct&q=50+years
We are hoping IND will offer custom painted roundels. All that white doesn't look great on all BMW exterior paint colors.

https://paddleshifterz.com/product-t...v=7516fd43adaa

The matching wheel center caps will only be released for 5 x 112mm bolt patterns (56mm) in newer BMWs. Our E9X M3 and most older BMWs use a 5 x 120mm bolt pattern (68mm). Check eBay for a vendor in Beverly Hills, CA...add the steering wheel emblem. Also no floating wheel center caps will be released.

BMW E9X M3 Fitment:
51148087192 or 194 - 82mm (HOOD)
2 Pins/No Adhesive

51148087195 or 196 - 74mm (TRUNK)
2 Pins/Adhesive

NOTE: Most E9X M3 roundels mount with 2 pins and don't use an adhesive. But 195/196 74mm Trunk Roundels only come with 2 pins and an adhesive.

Studie AG in Japan has some pix on older E/F-Platform BMWs.

I received the 50th Anniversary wheel center caps 5 x 120 mm (68 mm dia) from the seller on eBay and the quality is excellent. Plastic tabs are not too brittle and the emblem has a clear film (like a new cell phone) to protect the finish, before installation. I will see if they can put the matching steering wheel emblem up for sale individually.

if your car doesn't have a production date of March 2022, why would you put these badges on it?

This, right fucking here.

It's like buying a non-m car and then rebadging to put on an M sticker. Stop, it's embarrassing.

Nothing wrong with not having an M car or not having a 50th anniversary car, let it go.

BMW doesn't sell M badge retrofit kits. They DO sell 50 Anni Badge retrofits.

But in this case I do have an M car, so what's wrong with embracing the history of M by putting the anniversary badges on? I don't see anything wrong with putting the badges on my E92 M3, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Yeah, only if you got a March 2022 M! Lol, also only buy OEM oil and rod bearings, and get all your parts from the BMW dealers. 😎

I need to get 36 year anniversary badges. 😂

The eBay seller from Beverly Hills, CA is selling 50th Anniversary Roundels made in China (says Italy on the parts), that are also on Amazon. A full set of hood/trunk roundels, a steering wheel emblem, and four 5 x 120mm center wheel caps for $30. On eBay they charge $100, so they pocket a $70 profit after sending you the Amazon product.

You can still buy the BMW OEM 50th Anniversary parts for the hood and trunk roundels.

For F-body ///M cars, the roundels for the hood use an adhesive instead of 2 pins. The eBay kit has 2 pins for the hood/trunk roundels.

The BMW OEM 196 trunk roundels are backordered preventing most USA orders from shipping. IND and ECS Tuning can ship quickly what they have in stock.

My roundels are faded and some paint is off them, so replacing them with these gives it an added touch and i like the look. Who cares what someone else thinks, it is my car and not a poser mobile anyways
