Unrelated, but I really liked the rear windows popping out in the E46. It's too bad the rear windows in the E92 are fixed, I find cracked rear windows to eliminate wind/buffeting on the freeway.
The sedan is more practical in my eyes. I still went with a coupe simply because of the way it looks. Don’t get me wrong, the sedan looks great too but for me it had to be the coupe.

I thought I remembered reading something about the E90 having a very slight edge because it has a stiffer chassis. That makes sense with the B pillar being further toward center. I could be wrong, but at the end of the day I don't think there's any performance difference between the two.

Anyone commenting about compromise is greatly exaggerating the difference between the two IMO.

Have always loved the utility looks of a sedan combined with aggressive wide fender flares - starting back in 2005 when I got an Evo 8. e92 is still super sexy to me, but I just like the e90 a bit more.

I just think the e90 looks better. But that's all personal preference.

I've always been a sucker for the sports sedan and naturally gravitate toward sedans in general. My first E9x M3 was a coupe though. Sold that to get into a F80 M3 then got back into my current E90 M3 earlier this year after searching for the right car for a while.

Would I have got another E92 if the right one fell into my lap? Sure, but I'm pretty happy with me E90. Really like the LCI rear end.

I would be right with you but I had a '99 Audi A6 avant and it was the best daily I've ever had. Enough trunk space for snowboarding, golfing, anything. Handling was great and it was reliable and predictable.

However, every other car I've owned has had two doors, from an "82 SL280 to a E92
