I've always had a preference for the 92 with the CF roof. Never really considered the 4 doors at all. Although I personally think the E91 swapped to S65 is the best looking visually. I eventually found my SG 92, decent miles and now it's my weekend/track car. Now I can live of my fantasies of being a part time, amateur race car driver.

The rarity of a ZCP E90 got me into one. Since I have both now, I do love the E92 a bit more because of the bigger side windows.

Smiles and usability (rear seats), my initial criteria. I've never had more smiles than in a convertible. Next was a 6 speed, lots of options there. After that was a hard too convertible and finally something that was NA and relatively fast. and based on all of that, the only option for was the E93 M3.
Obviously subjective but I feel like I smile way more than most others on the road. This car is said to be the "slowest" out of the lot but will you ever truly see that? Probably not. I can't remember the last time I've pulled up next to another E9x on the streets and I don't track or drag race so it's not even a topic for discussion. But on the average commuting days it will be one of the quickest on the road. Does it handle differently? Probably. But if it's your first sports/performance car, I think you'd be pretty blown away by it. Is it a "real" M car? Sorry fellas and fellets, yes, yes it is. Just my take. |

I have owned two E92 M3s and am now on my third E90 M3. I think the E90 looks better and they are obviously more practical. A ZCP E90 is a rare car too. Win/win!

my first m3 was a E36/4/5, so the E90 was the obvious choice.

E93 for me because I don't track my car and it is plenty fast for my needs on public roads. This car serves as a weekend/fun car for me and having the ability to drop the top adds to the fun factor.

2 kids. Had couple before. As much as I like the cool factor of the sedan, the coupe drove/handled better

E90 here because of proportions and rarity.

Just wait until your daughter can ride in the front seat. I drove my E93 around with a booster for a long time and in the past week she finally met the height and weight requirements to sit in the front. Talk about another big game changer. Is it time to move into a two seater?

I wasn't even looking for an M3 when I bought my E90, but I jumped on it in part because it's a 4-door. I've always loved performance sedans because they defy expectations and break the mold. A coupe is the more obvious choice for a performance platform, and thus a little less interesting/unique to me.

There is something unique and special about a sedan with motorsport features. There are plenty of fast sedans, but few with very special engines/drivetrains (or an 8k redline). I like look of both cars, but prefer the stout look and rear of the sedan. I also like that the sedan is uncommon as compared to the coupe. As a bonus, 4 doors is great for passengers.

I decided to go back to an E90 ZCP. IMO the coupe is lower wider and sportier, and aged a bit better (rear tail lights). However there's something sexy about a stubby E90 M3 ZCP, such a rare beast. As this is a primary driver the rear doors sure do come in handy.... And I already have another coupe in the garage with a V10. I went DCT as I wasn't willing to pony up the $10k to $15k premium for manual. And if I'm honest I love them both, can go back / forth all day. If I was planning to "collect and flip" the car, then manual makes sense. But this is a primary driver for me, so will put miles on it so the return wouldn't be there down the road. White ZCP with extended fox red. 100% stock. Will add an exhaust (Dinan), M Perf steering wheel, then black badges. If anybody is interested in a very nice 13 Lemans Blue ZCP with MPE 49k miles send me a PM . Probably list it for sale this week.

A co worker seeing my e90 said it was cool but he'd rather have the coup. I asked why and he said he prefers smaller cars. I think there are just pre conceived notions on the size of sedan vs coups in general. |

Already owned an E46 6spd coupe.
So DCT E90. Also had a 4 door E36 that I adored when I was younger.
