Inspection of DCT

Hello,

I have a 2010 e90 DCT that is coming to the end of the factory warranty period.

I wanted to to see if there was a well known inspection that can be made of the DCT to check on the health of the DCT. For example, is there an easy visual from underneath the car?

I don't have any symptoms now but I'd like to know if I have a growing problem while the car is still under warranty.

I checked the threads and found a few discussions about leaks detected after shields were removed.

Thanks for any assistance.

I don't kno for sure, but I doubt there's much you can see from simply looking under the car at the transmission besides a fluid leak or broken bolts? I'd imagine you will be able to feel it in the shifts b4 there is any visible sign without cracking open the transmission

I am pretty sure Blackstone can do a fluid analysis on the DCT, which is probably the best way to get some insight into the health of your transmission.

Fixed.

This is the only "real" way to figure out what's going on in there. Short of cracking it open (not recommended).
