Finally got around to buying one for my self instead of borrowing. The sad part is it's probably going to cost more for the BMW roof rack and kayak mount then what I paid for it.

I've got an E92 roof rack i want to sell. Only has a bike mount on it though, so you'd still have to get the kayak mount. PM if interested. I've only used it twice.

Other than my X5, I bought these beauties yesterday to get ready for the upcoming season. So light and give great control. First pair of Nike cleats so I hope they perform as well or better than my old adidas boots.

So far it has been great. I like being able to set temps during the day and remotely adjusting the temperature is so convenient that alone was worth the price for me

I love our Nest products too. The smoke/carbon detectors are also good, they used to be better when you could just wave your hands to cancel, but they are still better than any we've ever had.

I have the similar kwikset for my front door except with bluetooth feature.
Do you think my wife will notice it, if I switch it to that?

Mine has Bluetooth as well. I can keep the phone in my pocket and tap the lock 3 times for it to unlock

Can't believe I overlooked this thread... good stuff in here.

Billup Congrats on the house man! I just put a bid on a place so hopefully will be in your shoes soon.

As a contribution, one of the best purchases I have ever made... Sold my desktop that I built, gave laptop to wife and got myself this bad boy.

SP3 - Core I7 - 256GB solid state...

Thanks man! Just getting everything set up this week, should be moving all the large things on Saturday and finally be out of the apartment for good.

It's definitely a huge step. Have any pictures of the house you're looking at?

Its an apartment in Brooklyn Heights and 940 sq ft which is pretty big for that area. I'll try to find some pictures but it is nothing spectacular, we would be doing a full renovation to it. We are buying as an investment since my wife recently sold a studio in the same area and made a killing on it!

These are somewhat concerning....you are basically giving someone the ability to electronically unlock your door if they can duplicate the signal. I would rather make someone pull out a deadbolt saw if they want to get into my place, much more conspicuous and the noise alone would likely draw attention.... with this someone can just "hack" into your house using a small electronic device w/o any signs of b&e
