Code 279A, Code P1521. HELP?

I just did my rod bearings on my 2009 E92 and it seems like I get 2 codes on blue driver when I scan for engine codes. There is a check engine light and the codes with OBD Read

P1521- Engine oil Quality sensor communication error.

279A- Oil Status Sensor (Electrical Error)

If anybody has had these 2 Codes can you please let me know what they mean, my guess is P1521 causes 279A because the cable isn’t correctly plugged in? Any insights/thoughts if you’ve had this code before, thank you!

Would resetting adaptions fix this? Or maybe it’s taking a while to adjust or anything because I did in plug it?

Replace the sensor. It is probably due at 14 years if it’s still the original. I have been advised by a BMW tech that if the sensor fails in a certain way, it can harm the dme. Best not to let it go too long.

Sorry forgot to update, I unplugged the sensor and cleaned it and applied dialectic grease and plugged it back in and the code went away after I cleared it, and it was able to read the oil levels after.
