Vortech V3 Rebuild
I am ready to do a rebuild on my blower but rather do it in house and knock it out in a day then send the unit off and have it down for 2 weeks.
I've done some searching and looks like 928 motorsports is the only one that sells rebuilds for DIY. Has anyone had any experience from this company. I saw maybe 1-2 reviews from 2009 but nothing any where near close to now. Or does anyone have a leak to another company that sells the rebuild kit.

Nothing wrong with it. But I daily my m3 and I put a lot miles on my car so I'd rather just do a rebuild for my self. blower has over 30k on it.

Just checked out the standard kit from 928. Looks cool but pricey for the a couple bearings and seals. They make it sound good though.
30k is a lot of miles but they don't run a lot of boost on an m3, if your wheel's clean I'm not sure I'd mess with it. Maybe you've got a machine shop in your garage but me with my harbor freight press would probably more likely create an issue then prevent a failure. I've rebuilt a few screw type superchargers before and have always found it's the needle bearings or gears that wear not the ball bearings. Centrifugal superchargers obviously don't have needle bearings. If your blowers had regular oil changes and the impeller looks good, I'd leave it for another 20k.
