Water Leak / Vapor Barrier?
I currently have a water leak at the left-front door on my E90 M3. The dealer told me it is the vapor barrier and also that it is not covered by my warranty! Does anyone here have experience with this?

Yes. Definite problem if someone has not properly resealed the vapor barrier after getting in the door. In my experience, they've often needed to be replaced with new to get a good seal.
So, the question is, who's been working on something within your door? If it's the dealer, they should fix the vapor barrier. Either way, there's your problem. Good luck! |

Here's a link to the appropriate page for the front door sound/vapor barriers on realoem.com, a great resource for locating part numbers for our cars: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_5851.
Of course, you'll need more than just the corresponding vapor barrier. Search for a DIY for the removal/replacement procedure. If you're not up to the task, find a shop you can trust to do the work. You're welcome |
