Gauging Interest: Trailer on airbags

Hey guys,

Once I started towing my car to the track, I started thinking that there must be an easier way to load and unload the car. Then when the front splitter went on, things got even more annoying. So I looked online and found trailers that have airbags, which drop to the floor and allow you to just drive right on/off. Haven't had any luck finding a used one, and new is upwards of $10k.

I talked to a friend of mine (and fellow enthusiast) who is down to take on the project with me.

We have plans ready to go, but I wanted to see what the interest would be for this type of trailer and where we would have to be in regards to price. I'll most likely build the first one for myself, that way we can get final weight and pictures, then do a group buy for forum members.

What I do is find a dip somewhere and put the trailer wheels in the dip. I have a mostly level trip onto the trailer. I use the crappy steel ramps with race ramps on the end. I don't have a splitter so not sure if I'll have an issue later on with aero.

I've found a good dip at every track I've been to...just gotta look. Usually its at the edge of the paddock pavement.

Race ramps and a high-quality winch transformed the loading/unloading experience. (Using an open aluminum).

Any way to make the splitter removable? Or if it's a track car, the entire front bumper?

Thought about that but it's easier to just lay down a bunch of wood/ramps. Splitter is mounted to the chassis with supports attached on the carbon crash beam
