How many e9x people will be upgrading to the Fxx
Just wanted to know as of today and what we know about the first F generation M3. Who will be upgrading? Your decision might change as more light is shed on the details, and that is fine, but according from what you know right now, would you make the jump?

Living in Denver, I am paying for 414 horses but am actually getting around 350. With the F80's forced induction, I will get what I pay for lol

You're asking who will upgrade from the E9x body style to the F3x body style (regardless of engine)? Or, since we are in the M3 section, are you inquiring only which M3 owners will upgrade to F30 M3? I'm told that the M4 will be an F8x
Surely all true BMW fans will upgrade to F30/F32 (3 and 4 series) in their own due time; I know I certainly will. And the farthest I'll stray from an F32 3er/4er would be a 335i F10 5er. |

Hey Guys,
I missed out on the last E90 M3 because of financial/business problems and I thought I had missed the boats as it almost seemed certain the saloon would be discontinued. Thank God they are continuing it, is all I can say. The timing is perfect for me. Business is picking up and hopefully in March 2012 I will have my first M3 saloon. I will be moving up from a 335d, if that still counts!. Although I plan on having a dome fitted on the bonnet. An M3 without a dome??? |

My car is paid off, I really like not having a $900 car payment and I wanna retire early.
The high revving NA V8 sounds great,I don't know if the tri or twin turbo M3/4 will sound as good. |

I'll probably pass on the next M3. I've never been a big fan of turbo engines. I've owned BMW's since 1983 including E46 & E92 M3's and have really enjoyed the high revving NA engines. These engines were always the soul of an M car and I think BMW is losing its way. Without this engine it's not the same. As some others have stated, I'll be looking long and hard at Porsche in the future.

Here's the F80, but it's just an E90/92/93 with a newer interior, newer electronics, and the same S65. Wishful thinking. |

I can promise you anyone on here that will be able to afford it will get into the new m3. Its fine to say you do not like a turbo motor but the fact is the new m3 will outperform the current one in every single way and by a large margin. Nobody with the dough is going to be able to resist after the reviews pour in and the thing is putting out 450 foot pounds and 460hp. Turbo or not everyone will convert if they have the funds. Some with more funds may hang onto the e9x as well which would be the best of both worlds. Many others such as myself planned my lease to end in 2014 so can pick up an Fxxm3 after the initial hype dies down a bit and the 2nd year production begins.

I'll consider the F30/32 but won't give up my e90 M3 or e46 330 for one. So probably not. Although I might lease one to beat on at the track.
