Detailing for the lazy guy with a lease.
What's the current go to, all-in-one, single-step, easy to apply by hand, easy to buff off by hand, lasts a long time, good beading, great protectant, no white residue leaving wax/sealant/polish combo. I realize asking this I am going to be the outcast in the group because I am not stocking my garage with 80 products and comparing the various qualities of esoteric waxes, but it is what it is. I am just looking for something I can use every couple of months to keep the shine up and protect the paint from sap, bird bombs and etching from water spots without spending a lot of time on the process. I have been waxing and polishing with p21 products for as long as I can remember, but it doesn't really last that long and I would really like a single step solution..
Before everyone firing me up, at least I don't drive the M3 though the automatic carwash (the 335 and 535 didn't even get that much respect) If it makes a difference it's a 2011 E92 AW and I live in pretty hot climate here in TX. Thanks in advance. m |

Your miracle product that conforms to your wish list doesn't yet exist, but if you wait another 20 or so years, you'll probably find what you're looking for without issue.

Really though, there is no magic product. I can see the minimal amount of work being Optimum No-Rinse for the car wash and maybe use a good spray wax? Maybe use an instant detailer in between washes... End of the day, what really matters is how much will you care if your car has swirls/scratches. I care enough that I'm about to go over to my friend's house and "borrow" all of his expensive waxes. |

I use this and love it
Just spray it on when the car is still wet Wipe it on, as you dry the car And wipe one more time with a clean towel http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-T-9.../dp/B0007TV6M0 This is what it looks like after I use it http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...07&postcount=1

I have had good success with the One Step Sealant from Griot's Garage. Used this on a previous car and then one year latter. After many drive through washes, sitting outside, trips, and various weather events. The finish was still in decent shape 12 months later and the spring clean up was much easier with the tar and bug removal.

Please tell me thats a joke, and btw, that looked more like a sealant sheeting than a carnauba beading

shade shots and at an angle = everything looks good!!! even my DD/work suv which hasnt been polished in 10 months and washed only about 7 times in that span will look good from an angle....
every couple of month products: meguiars microfiber finishing wax CG EZCG / BFWD combo clearkote vanilla moose after Red moose glaze meguiars 151 But, I would recommend you spend the 250 or so every six months and have it polished. you can wax every month all year, and it still wont look at good as the polished twice a year car. |
