Service near NYC?
My 2011 M3 just made it to the prep center, so its time to start thinking about where I am going to get it serviced (buying it from Passport BMW in Maryland). My experience with my 135 says to keep the M as far away from BMW of Manhattan service as possible. Where are other NYC owners going with theirs?

If you going to service thorugh a non-dealer, i would check out V & S in Bayside Queens. They are BMW authrorized service and do a pretty good job. They are also a body shop, so everything is done in house. The shop is close to the LIRR (about 30 min. ride from Penn), so getting there isn't a problem if you need to leave it for a few days. Ask for Vince, he's a pretty fair guy about everything.

I go to Pace/Greenwich BMW (it's actually in Port Chester, a few miles up from Mamaroneck where the dealership is). It's about 20-25 miles from NYC, and they do a great job. Plus, you can always get a ride to the metro rail if it needs to be dropped off overnight (and Manhattan is only 30-40 mins by train). Avoid BMW Manhattan at all costs |

Pace BMW is great. Awesome service all around. I remember having a boost leak (failed wastegate solenoid) the week of 4th of July weekend. Had an emergency Enterprise rental, and since my car wasn't ready for that weekend, they called me and told me to drop off the Enterprise loaner and take a 5-series loaner in exchange. Since the misses and I had our weekend planned at Niagara Falls, you can be sure we got our money's worth out of that loaner! Their sales department is amazing, no bs, no tricks, dealt with a Gunn Park. I had all of the techs at Pace BMW (Vegard, Adam, Robert) all of them were great. If and when it's time to retire the 135i and upgrade, Pace BMW will get first dibs at my business for sure. Best car buying experience and service ever and I've been through six new cars in the last 10 years.
