I think a professional obd2 tool is necessary. I just use the free loaner scan tool at Auto Zone...not sure if it works with the E90 M3 yet.

Just to clarify some confusion I am reading in this thread, by definition the clutch is DISENGAGED when the pedal is pressed and ENGAGED when the pedal is released...

I recently read a post stating that the engagement point is fairly high up, and in my experience I feel like I get the smoothest shifts when I feel like I've almost let the clutch fully out before giving it gas..
