DCT Shift Settings (Drivelogic) not changing

Got in my 08 e90 this morning and realized the drivelogic shift settings won't change, it's stuck in D2 for auto (I have a dct tune that has been in the car since before I purchased it two years ago) and S5 for 'manual' mode. I've never encountered this problem before and I was able to adjust the drivelogic settings last night. The button is not sticking now nor has it ever given me that issue.

Car is operating normally other than not being able to change the drivelogic setting.

Any thoughts? Has anyone experienced something similar and come up with an easy solution?

Could be just a bad button. If possible, try changing the shift logic program in iDrive.

Forgot to mention that I have a single hump/no iDrive so I can't test it that way :/

Really hoping it's just the button. Given that there are no other issues I'm inclined to think it could just be that. Just strange that the button seems totally fine.

Update: started working properly again with basically no intervention so I'm not sure what the cause was.

I'd just remove the button and give it a good clean with contact cleaner.

Not exactly the same problem, but close.

DCT would go to manual when pushing the M button. No matter what I tried, it kept going back to manual. I pulled out the trusty volt meter and checked the batter after coming back from a drive and only had 9.8v. Put the battery on the charger and the next morning, all DCT issues were gone, only to return 2 days later. Replaced the battery 2 months ago and have not had an issue since.

Long story short - check your battery.
