For those concerned about the M3's mpg this one's for you

Just watched this episode on Top Gear (British version) a few days ago. This episode is all about mpg sports vehicles. Mainly who gets better mpg, a Toyota Prius or the M3. I know it is an old re-run but very interesting match up. Just thought I share if you haven't seen it.

Yes, saw it last weekend (again). Keep in mind Imperial gallons are different than US gallons. Their "number" mpg will be higher than ours. So don't get too excited when you hear a higher number than you think it should be.

a recent 70mile highway trip with the computer reset gave me a reading of about 21.7MPG @ 77MPH average. I probably wasted another 2 or 3 MPG dealing with stupid drivers.

I once got 31mpg in the M3. I was on a lwo speed highway with no traffice driving 50mph

Welcome to 2009 but seriously the last thing I'm worried about driving an M3 is mpg. Have an X5 deisel for that

New series starts tonight, BBC HD, 8pm, den, big screen, huge sofa, big pot of coffee, kids at in laws so I wont get 100 questions throughout the episode, ahhhhh, bootiful.
