Plastidip

I've been searching for a little while this morning and haven't been able to turn anything up on this subject.

I have plastidipped in Matt (Camo) Black a few pieces on my car and am about to do the wheels. It's a nice solution for our climate to provide some basic protection from some of the elements.

My question is. Can you wax/seal this stuff or is it just a waste. I've noticed that dust sticks to this stuff pretty easy compared to the rest of the vehicle.

Thanks all!

Waxing it (depending on the kind you use) will take away some of that matte texturing and it'll also look uneven if you wax heavier handed in some spots than others.

I've never taken plastidip to be a coating that needed maintenance. Just enjoy it until it peels, respray, enjoy again. Isn't that the whole point to dipping the car?

Thanks all. Ya it was a more of a general inquiry so I appreciate the input.

I actually originally did it because I wasn't sure what color gills I wanted to get and this was cheaper than buying new crap and deciding I didn't like the color then selling at a loss.

spray and enjoy it is!

You can use glossisfier. It works as a clearcoat for plastidip, making it shiny, more durable and easier to clean.
