Is this pretty normal?

The engine has 70k miles.. I'm getting my valve covers powder coated.. Is this normal for s65?

I have an s2k also with 70k miles... and my cams on the s2k are much less yellow.. closer to silver..

Looks like it's missing the plenum, intake, valve covers, coil packs, and spark plugs.

Other than that looks normal!

Just a thought, but are you covering the openings with a plastic bag or something. I'd hate to see another caper of a key and cough drop wrapper in a motor like before.

I wonder if I soak my rims in BMW OEM 10-60 they will turn that sweet gold color like our engine innards? Life hack!

I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. It looks like an aftermarket change out of the arms. I also noticed a pair of bolts running through the micron filter housing. I'm guessing they have broken tabs and that keeps them I place.

It looks like it’s missing 600cc of displacement.

I say he stuffs a mannequin in the oil pan and claims that it was put in their during manufacturing. Then demand that BMW warranty the motor. That ought to get some good laughs.

The wiper arms did change at some point in the production. I think mine or my last E9x looked like this.
