Front Suspension Creaking Sound
I'm getting a weird light creaking sound from my front suspension, especially during low speed turning (like in a parking lot). I've tested the power steering while parked and it doesn't make any noise.
What could it be? ARB bushes need lube? Or some ball joint going south? |

Update - After a bit of time, the creaking came back and got worse over time. It was joined by a 'klok' noise from the front end when going over rough roads (but no noise going over speed bumps).
Recently I installed Vorshlag camber plates and the noises went away. So definitely caused by worn front strut top mounts. When I removed the stock top mounts, they looked OK - not cracked, dry or disintegrated. Ironically the camber plates were quieter than worn top mounts and little to no additional NVH. |
