If you do go off, open wheel and slow down. Don't try to save it, that's when the bad stuff happens there. There is a ton of run off.

Yeah, I drive conservatively at COTA. if you feel that you’re about to oversteer, straighten the wheel a bit. Use the runoff if you have to. T19 is one of the sketchy turns.

OK, taking notes... number one, don't crash... got it
Been working on the layout so hopefully can somewhat make that translate to on track

I haven't been yet, but have always liked this vid. Couple clues as to where the more valuable corners are.

Awesome video - thanks! Looks like curbs are somewhat friendly in spots. Wonder if the turtles being out for F1 will affect that though.

How did it go? I'm hoping to have my car back at COTA in Feb after having a piston let go on the back straight in '17.

Oh and it's going to be a 4.7L stroker with a VT4 supercharger...

Wow that is going to be a monster! What group in Feb? Hopefully it comes together for you by then - bet that would be a perfect time of year to go.

Having been on a track only a couple short runs before had no idea what to expect - feel like it went really well though. Had a great instructor, started in novice and was moved up to intermediate half way through Saturday. Then got moved up to solo intermediate after a couple of sessions Sunday so I feel like my skills progressed well. 19 was my nemesis though, definitely my worst corner overall.

Having to address some heat issues, particularly with the dct. Other than that the car did great. I’m stock with upgraded braking, camber plates, & gts dct tune. These cars are awesome!

Yeah, I had to limit downshifts to 2nd to reduce dct temps. I'll have the do88 cooler on next time.

I'll be in an intermediate group.

Have the do8i cooler going I’m as well. Life’s too short for laggy sloppy shifts.

Sorry meant which organization would it be through (if it is not a private group). Still trying to find what all organizations set up events like this. Want to get out to cota as much as I can.

Ahh, it's with MVP Track Time. Did you run with the d088 cooler and still have DCT heat problems?

You should try to make it out to the Chin events, you get a ton of track time.

Was still the stock cooler. Jumped on ordering the do88 pretty quick after cota in case it took awhile to get in - wanted to install before my next multi day run (Cresson mid nov). Turns out they ship incredibly fast and I got it from Sweden quicker than it takes half the domestic companies to get stuff to us. Should be installed by the end of the week.

I did look into them leading up to my weekend at COTA. I did have two buddies also going to the MVP event so there was that. I'll keep them in mind.

I remember being amazed at their shipping. I got in on the pre-order for the full kit. I didn't install the DCT cooler because my supercharger pump is mounted in the way of the intake duct for that. I intend to have my shop move the pump to make room for the duct and drop those DCT temps.

I can't wait!

I can imagine that is a hard wait. Did you have the rest of the kit installed before the move to supercharger & stroker? If so how did it perform? Any drop in oil temps on the track?

The car was supercharged with a VT2-625 when I bought it - stock engine. I did install the radiator, oil and power steering coolers before the track day. Engine temps were better - I had seen limp mode previously on other tracks.
