Clunk/Rattle when coasting low speeds

Coasting like coming up to a stoplight or stop sign I hear/feel like a slight dull clunking or thud coming from the front. I don't hear it under acceleration or braking only when coasting. Do my lower control arms look bad? Im able to move them pretty freely by hand and when I do they are definitely hitting something which Im thinking might be the source.

Video attached.

I get some banging sounds over bumps in the road also. Between 15-20 mph it is very noticeable. Strangely, I've heard a new sound that I recorded the other day that I'll share here maybe you've heard the same. You can hear the tapping around 7 sec. I'm going under the car tomorrow and I'll also see if I get the same play in the suspension components you show.

That appears to be more play than what is normal. I'd replace those

That front lower control arm is SHOT!

I recommend getting a TRW kit of M3 front control arms (upper & lower). It will be a total of 4 control arms. 2 per side.

Then NO more clunk and MUCH better handling/steering.

Good luck!

In the first part of the video. The lower control arm you're twisting should move 1/2" each way. Deff not enough to actually hit the subframe. The rubber bushing or the ball joint is bad inside.

AWDBooSTIn90 954MM simpleM3 Sry for the late reply and thanks for the input. I think Im gonna drop some money on a refresh kit and just get all of the rubber and stuff replaced in the front since the car is coming up on 70K its probably not a bad idea to get all that done. Plus the car has done a few track days so probably overdue for that kind of maintenance.

I replaced my end links. Rattled/thud at low speed over small bumps. All good now
