aye mang, i'm no physics master or even a master of the automobile, but i'm not that damn gullible. When the GTR comes out and proves what it states as truth i'll take it like a man, but I believe it to be highly unlikely.

after seeing workers at this plant, i would never consider buying a corvette even if it laps ring in 4 mins. driving a C6 just cemented this even more.
check out the method he uses to determine if two panels are even (at 2:14). the hand method what a joke! no hard hats, no safety shoes...compare that to german workers who are in uniforms with proper safety equipment. that one guy is working in his shorts! two worlds apart. http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080623....uction-started |

I have driven all types of vehicles, before my purchase, and I find for the performance I get with the drivability of the vette exceeded my expectations. One thing I must say, I can track my car and run the 1/4 mile 10 times or more in a row with no problems, that says a lot for durability and build quality from a mechanical aspect. Also from a performance standpoint, where car you get a vehicle that responds so well to just bolt on modifications and still stay reliable, a 11 second daily driver C6 is very common. |

With a headwind. That car is nasty. malter2.0, you're critique of how they build Corvettes still can't denounce the fact that "stupid factory workers" make a truly incredible machine. Made in the USA

ZR1 amazing machine. If they had a twin clutch Id be all over it, or a used one once the 50 + drivers got tired of it J/K to all my grey hair friends. I wish that Chevys service dept could match its level of cars being manufactured. Their service is very piss poor. But back to the point ZR1>Z06>GTR. My only complaint is that Vettes are all to common because of the bargain price point. On a recent trip to Big Bear Lake in California I must of seen twenty plus C6 Vettes, going up and down the mountain. I'd like to not be a snob but I dont really like the idea of owning a very common car.

Here's the GTR's 7:29 lap along side the ZR1's lap of 7:26 so you can compare and see how that heavy Nissan can keep up with the mighty ZR1.
Now when you match the cars up exactly the same point on the track you will find that the GTR goes under the bridge near the end of the lap 3 seconds after the ZR1, to me that all the proof I needed to know that the GTR's time wasn't market BS, the car is that much quicker than the M3 and all others. Shame it's still a pig with lipstick. |
