the reason i ask is, I believe the worse thing an owner can do to the dct is
1)hold the left paddle and floor it for optimum gear choice
2)in auto mode, floor the gas at cruising speed and let the trans choose the gear.

that massive clutch slips is what I believe is the culprit to my methronics failure (I have another theory but don't have evidence for for).

if you've done 1) or 2) often with the 650 you've burned your clutches or have overheated the metronics system and damaged it. it will not get better with re-adapting the clutches. ask me how i konw.
I have done this way to many times (400+) and have about 190K kms on my car, no issues.

Thanks for your response. I have changed the fluid with original BMW DCT fluid. Also added a larger trans cooler. see if that helps.

triple check that you added enough fluid, a common error is not replacing enough fluid through the proper refill procedure.

I checked the fluid level multiple times, however then I took it to BMW and then added one liter of fluid so. Hopefully that was the issue. I will test this weekend to find out.

good luck, the low fluid is the culprit of many problems.

what he is talking about does happen on supercharged dct cars. kicks from a high gear cause clutch slip and usally end in a DCT temp warning light after it locks the trans in 1 gear until it cools down. on a all motor car this will never been seen.

This is why I opted for the built DCT from Dodson, shame it took 3 years to deliver, but I have it now. No more worries

I have ess vt2 625, when i wot and kick down let said from 5 to 3 gear, its like slip / no power until certain rpm and got the power back and pull.
Usually from rpm 3 to 6 is slip / no power and got instant torque like turbo in rpm 6.

It only happen after kickdown and wot, if i do proper gear it pull like train no slip at all

Is it mean my cluch wear out?

i would avoid using the kick down and drop gears properly. avoids a lot of headache with clutch slip.

You should not be doing kick downs after superchargerinf the car. You need to use the paddles and down shift. Let the car get in to gear and then go wide open throttle. You are going to just burn your clutches up with what you are doing now.

Might sound a silly question but does the newer m3/4 or m5/6 clutch pack fit the e92 and would this be cheaper alternative to bulletproof the clutch?

The Schwaben scanner will do a lot of other stuff for your M3 like read and clear codes. It's made by Foxwell. I spent $60 on Foxwell's website to get the GM config pack so I can use the scanner on my wife's Chevy Traverse.
Just a heads up ECS has then Schwaben 25% off right now for holiday sale. Just bought one myself.
