-= Chinese/Japanese/Korean and other languages for the CIC =-
I have great news for all Chinese, Korean and Japanese fellow members who have been looking for a solution to enable their native languages in the CIC.
I am proud to be the first and only vendor on this forum who can offer you not only the 100% OEM CIC retrofit but also a solution to localize your CIC The list includes the following languages: - German - English UK - English US - Spanish - Italian - French - Dutch - Arabic - Chinese Traditional - Chinese Simplified - Korean - Japanese - Portuguese - Russian - Polish - Swedish - Romanian - Hungarian - Turkish - Greek If you are ordering the CIC retrofit kit from me please make sure to list the languages you want to have enabled. If you already have the CIC installed in your car and would like to have additional languages activated please contact me by email at info@modyfikacjebmw.pl Please do not ask any commercial questions in this thread. The purpose of this post is just to inform you that the long-anticipated solution is finally available. Chinese Simplified: Chinese Traditional: Japanese: Korean: Language selection: |

Hi long time lurker signed up just to ask the question: Under your profile you are located in Poland, how would coding happen for those of us on the other side of the pond? I don't need a retrofit as I already have CIC, the updated one.
Just incase, I am located in Los Angeles. |

Does this change entire regional setting? Do I lose my US navi function? Are there any tradeoffs or is this simple add-on to the current language selection? I'm confused... |

Are we able to use English setting but have the CIC show characters of other language(s)?

Sorry for this late reply... In order to activate Chinese, Japanese or Korean the CIC has to be updated and coded. The process takes a bit over an hour, but it's not as easy as remote coding. Also there is some risk involved like with any software change (same as you update your car software at your dealership). If I can get a few people in the same area I could offer this service. SoCal would be the preferred place for the first group buy. As for the question above I will check it and get back to you soon. |

Will you be coming all the way from Poland to do the coding?
what will happen if we bring our car to the dealership and they reflash it and the language disappears? |
