Same here.

See I like that they aren't because when you're pushing it around longer turns or winding roads, both hands on the wheel, the paddles are still in perfect position for you to change gears.

i can see how it might feel weird though if you use it with a palm-on-the-side grip, is that what you guys are doing? (sorry that sounds strange, no homo LOL)

I also heard that the porsche pdk uses the opposite push to upshift/pull to downshift, now that would definitely take some time for me to adjust to.
Not sure if BMW still does this, but in the past non-M SMG cars were push and pull too.

Stick has a much better tactile feel to it - also makes me feel like I'm in an AMLS GT or rally car.

In manual mode its all Paddles unless like it was stated in a turn. Not practical if your turning your wheel fast to go back and find paddles. I like the idea of not having to take my hands off the wheel. Although if your only in a sweeping turn where your wheel in partially turned you could still shift if need be as the paddles turn with the wheel. All my cars have almost all been manual and I can understand people saying it feels natural. Its natural because thats what your used to. Things that aren't natural are things you not comfortable with. If you drove with the paddles all the time and only used the stick in a necessary time (like in a turn) then it would end up feeling natural sooner or later. Mind you I have a tahoe (automatic) Conv 6speed vette (manual) and used to have a E46 smg. Well I didn't drive the M alot as it was a weekend car. Well I remember getting in one time and going to clutch down and forgot oh there is no external clutch! Had to laugh at myself as I juggle different cars.. lol Well safe to say I have a E93 now with the DCT and find myself either just cruising in D mode. When I jump on the car or freeway its all DCT paddles! Whats great is we have options to choose from!!

Yeah I've adjusted my steering wheel to be as close to me as possible and love just gripping the hell out of it with both hands and flying through lightning fast shifts as I cruise around the urban track.
