first time buyer of e92 m3

am looking into a 2009 e92 coupe m3 , It has a clean car fax and has 78xxx miles, from the bmw dealer any recommendation .I am awaiting payment on my 2006 m3 smg car 62xxx.

yup cant wait to get mine , frank smith flash tune and springs are next once I get the one I want , DCT or 6 speed ,which one fellas . I had a smg ttfs tune/rev match was awesome .

The worst part about it I had to take out the headers and go back to stock ,buyer wanted it stock .

DCT is faster, 6MT is more fun. DCT is nothing like the SMG. It's infinitely better. Having owned both, buy the 6MT.

Look at your daily commute to determine what tranny to pick. I got 6M and regret it now. My morning commute is awful. I rarely go over 20 mph in bumper to bumper traffic.

Found my car have a hold on it . 2009 78888 for 26k from dealer . Just waiting to pass smog I had headers in my 06 m3 ,install all back to stock.i had lost o2's out, I forgot the stupid procedure drive cycle for o2's to be ready . Once I have my o2 ready I get certificate , my money .damn California .

You will like the DCT. It's nothing like the SMG. Infinitely better in every way. That said, if you're gonna roll around in manual mode all the time, you might as well buy a manual. Lol.

I like the fast shifts .I fell in love with paddle shifting . Yes I will miss launching on first gear with a manual .

Bought mine off momentum bmw , getting it delivered to me , should have it Wednesday.

Knock on wood second car bought from dealer without looking at it last e46 m3 was excellent condition .

Ok received car on Monday , it had swirls on paint , not bad . Just polished with rotary polisher . Car runs great , interior is in prestine condition . Mostly outside scratches , swirls I guess that's why I got it at $26682 with 78350 miles . Now car is looking new . Ttfs tune next then eibach springs .car feels fast in m mode .

Nice. Congrats on the purchase! Swirls are an easy fix... peeling trim, busted seats, bodywork, are not.

love it. love the dct. i also own an smg 330i and do enjoy it as well. completely different, obviously. also drive manual mode all the time.

SMG 330i ? didn't know they made SMG in anything other than an M car.....
