F8x DCT Knob Transfer To E92 M3? #KnobSizesMatter
Is it possible to replace my dct knob for my 2009 m3 coupe for a 2015 m3 or m4 shift knob?
I love how big and well fitted the new ones are. Are they compatible? I don't wanna order the new shift knob and then be told i cant install it and waste my money. Please provide insight! Last edited by DAbed; 03-16-2017 at 04:12 PM.. |

I wish it would fit. I was told by my local parts guy they are different. If someone has a way please let us know.

Why change the original DCT shifter to one from a F8x? The original E9x is so much nicer in my opinion (I just sold my 16 F80 M3) because it has a leather cover on the end of it and its smaller.

i love it don't get me wrong! i just love having a tad bit of a bigger shifter, and its more stiff. I loved it when i drove my buddies M4, feels more in tact and planted to the center piece if you know what i mean. its just personal opinion at this point, not the end of the world if i cant get the new knob on my 09
